శివుని అర్ధాంగి సతీదేవి శరీర భాగాలు పడిన 101
ప్రదేశాలలో 51 క్షేత్రాలు ముఖ్యమైనవి.
వాటిలోనూ అతి ముఖ్యమైన శరీర భాగాలు పడినవి
18 ప్రదేశాలు. వాటినే అష్టాదశ శక్తి పీఠాలుగా
గుర్తించి, పూజిస్తున్నాం. ఒకటి పాక్ ఆక్రమిత
కాశ్మీర్లో (గుడి ధ్వంసం అయ్యింది), మరొకటి
శ్రీలంకలో ఉండగా మిగతా 16 శక్తి పీఠాలు మన
దేశంలోనే ఉన్నాయి. వాటి గురించిన సమాచారం దసరా
పండగ సందర్భంగా ఈ వారం...
1. లంకాయాం శాంకరీదేవి!
అష్టాదశ శక్తి పీఠాలలో ముందుగా
నమస్కరించవలసిన శక్తి స్వరూపిణి శాంకరీదేవి.
నేటి శ్రీలంకలో పశ్చిమతీరాన గల ట్రింకోమలి
పట్టణానికి సమీపంలో సముద్రంలోకి చొచ్చుకొని
వచ్చినట్లున్న కొండపైన శాంకరీదేవి ఆలయం, శక్తి
పీఠం ఉన్నాయి. ఈ ప్రాంతాన్ని
తిరుకోనేశ్వరం అంటారు. అమ్మవారి ‘తొడ భాగం’
పడిన స్థలంగా ప్రతీతి.
2. కామాక్షీ కాంచికా పురే!
కోర్కెలు తీర్చే కన్నులు గల శక్తి స్వరూపిణి
కామాక్షి. ఈ ఆలయం తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్రంలోని చెన్నై
పట్టణానికి 75 కి.మీ దూరంలో కాంచీపురం అమ్మగా
వెలగొందుతోంది. అమ్మవారి శరీరభాగమైన ‘కంకాళం’
ఇక్కడ పడినట్లు చెబుతారు.
3. ప్రద్యుమ్నే శృంఖలాదేవి!
నేటి పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ రాష్ట్రంలో
కలకత్తాకు సుమారు 85 కి.మీ దూరంలో హుగ్లీ
జిల్లాలోని ‘పాండువా’ అనే గ్రామంలో వెలసిందీ
క్షేత్రం. కాలక్రమేణా మహమ్మదీయ పాలనలో
గుడిని ధ్వంసం చేసి, పైన మీనార్ను నిర్మించారు.
దీంతో భారత ప్రభుత్వం నిషేధిత స్థలంగా
ప్రకటించింది. శృంఖల అంటే సంకెళ్లు అని అర్థం.
భక్తుల సమస్యల
సంకెళ్లను అమ్మవారు త్రుంచివేస్తారని
నమ్మకం. అమ్మవారి శరీర భాగమైన ‘ఉదరం’
ఇక్కడ పడిందని చెబుతారు. పాండువా గ్రామానికి 10
కి.మీ దూరంలో హంసాదేవి అనే అతి ప్రాచీన
దేవాలయం ఉంది. భక్తులు హంసాదేవినే
శృంఖలాదేవిగా భావించి పూజలు జరుపుతుంటారు.
4. క్రౌంచపట్టణే చాముండేశ్వరి!
కర్ణాటక రాష్ట్రం మైసూరు పట్టణంలో మహిషాసుర
మర్దినిగా చాముండేశ్వరి మాత వెలుగొందుతోంది.
ఆలయానికి ఎదురుగా సర్వాలంకృతుడైన మహిషుని
విగ్రముంది. అమ్మవారి ‘తలవెంట్రుకలు’ పడిన
పుణ్య ప్రదేశం చాముండేశ్వరీ ఆలయం.
5. అలంపురే జోగులాంబ:!
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో మహబూబ్నగర్ జిల్లాలో
కర్నూలుకు 10 కి.మీ దూరంలో ఉన్న ప్రాచీన
ఆలయం అలంపూర్ జోగులాంబ. ఈ
దేవాలయం ముసల్మానుల దండయాత్రలో
ధ్వసం అయ్యి, ఆ తర్వాత
పునరుద్ధరించబడింది. సతీదేవి ‘దంతాలు’ ఇక్కడ
పడ్డాయని ప్రతీతి. ఇక్కడ నవబ్రహ్మ
ఆలయాలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి.
6. శ్రీశైలే భ్రమరాంబికా!
దక్షిణాపథంలో ప్రసిద్దికెక్కిన ప్రముఖ
శైవక్షేత్రం శ్రీశైలం. కర్నూలుకు 150 కి.మీ
దూరంలో ఉన్న ఈ ఆలయంలో
అమ్మవారు భ్రమరాంబికగా నిత్య
పూజలు అందుకుంటున్నారు. ఇక్కడ సతీదేవి
‘మెడ’భాగం పడిన స్థలంగా ప్రతీతి. ఈ ఆలయానికి
దగ్గరలోని అడవిలో ఇష్టకామేశ్వరి ఆలయం అతి
ప్రాచీనమైనది.
7. కొల్హాపురే మహాలక్ష్మీ!
మహారాష్ట్రలోని పుణేకి దాదాపు 300 కి.మీ దూరంలో
కొల్హాపూర్లో వెలసిన అమ్మ మహాలక్ష్మి
అవతారం. ఇక్కడ సతీదేవి ‘కనులు’ పడిన ప్రాంతంగా
చెబుతారు.
8. మాహుర్యే ఏకవీరికా!
మాహుర్యే పురమున వెలసిన శక్తి స్వరూపిణి
ఏకవీరిక. మహారాష్ట్రలో నాందేడ్ పట్టణానికి 125
కి.మీ దూరంలో ఉంది మాకుద్యపురం. అమ్మవారి
‘కుడి చేయి’ పడిన స్థలంగా ఇది ప్రతీతి.
9. ఉజ్జయిన్యాం మహాకాళి!
సతీదేవి ‘పై పెదవి’ పడిన స్థలం. మధ్యప్రదేశ్లోని
ఇండోర్ పట్టణానికి 50 కి.మీ దూరంలో మహాకాళేశ్వర
జ్యోతిర్లంగం, మహాకాళి ఆలయం ఉన్నాయి.
మహిమాన్వితమైన క్షేత్రంగా ఈ ప్రదేశానికి పేరు.
మంత్ర, తంత్రాలతో ప్రతిష్ఠ చేసిన శక్తిపీఠంగా
విరాజిల్లుతోంది మహాకాళి.
10. పీఠికాయాం (పిఠాపురం) పురుహూతికా!
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లోని తూర్పు గోదావరి జిల్లాలో
సామర్లకోటకు 13 కి.మీ దూరంలోని పిఠాపురంలో
సతీదేవి ‘పీఠభాగం’ పడడం వల్ల పీఠికాపురంగా,
కాలక్రమంలో పిఠాపురంగా ఈ ప్రాంతం పేరొందింది.
శ్రీచక్రం, అమ్మవారికి బంగారు చీర ఇక్కడ
ఉన్నాయి. ఈ చీరతో ప్రతి శుక్రవారం అమ్మవారికి
అలంకారం చేస్తారు.
11. ఓఢ్యాయాం గిరిజా దేవి!
ఒడ్యాణం అనగా ఓఢ్ర దేశం (ఒరిస్సా). నేటి ఒరిస్సా
రాష్ట్రంలో కటక్ సమీపంలోని వైతరణీనది ఒడ్డున
అమ్మవారు త్రిశక్తి స్వరూపిణిగా వెలసింది. ఈ
ప్రాంతాన్ని వైతరణీ పురం అని కూడా అంటారు.
ఒరిస్సాలోని జాజిపూర్ రోడ్ నుంచి 20 కి.మీ
దూరం ప్రయాణిస్తే ఈ గిరిజాదేవి (ఇక్కడ
భిరిజాదేవిగా ప్రసిద్ధి) ఆలయం ఉన్నది. సతీదేవి
‘నాభి స్థానం’ ఇక్కడ పడిందని అంటారు.
2. మాణిక్యామ్ దక్షవాటికే (ద్రాక్షారామం)!
సతీదేవి ‘కణతల భాగం’ పడిన ప్రదేశంగా అష్టాదశ
పీఠాలలో 12వదిగా, పంచారామాలలో మొదటిదిగా ప్రసిద్ధి
చెందిన పుణ్యక్షేత్రం ఇది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లోని
తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లాలో ద్రాక్షారామంలో
మాణిక్యాంబగా అమ్మవారు వెలిశారు.
దక్షయజ్ఞంలో సతీదేవి ఆహుతి అయిన ప్రదేశం.
భోగానికి, మోక్షానికి, వైభవానికి ప్రసిద్ధి చెందినదీ
క్షేత్రం.
13. హరిక్షేత్రే కామరూపా!
అస్సాం రాష్ట్రం రాజధాని గౌహతి పట్టణంలో
బ్రహ్మపుత్రానది ఒడ్డున నీలాచలంలో వెలసినదీ
క్షేత్రం. సతీదేవి ‘యోని’ భాగం పడిన స్థలం.
నీలాచలంలో స్త్రీ యోని వంటి శిల ఒకటి ఉంది. ఆ
శిల నుండి సన్నని ధారగా జలం వస్తుంది.
సంవత్సరానికి ఒకసారి మూడు రోజుల పాటు ఎర్రని
నీరు వస్తుంది. అమ్మవారు రజస్వల అయిందని,
ఈ మూడు రోజులు దేవాలయాన్ని మూసి ఉంచుతారు.
నాలుగో రోజున సంప్రోక్షణ జరుపుతారు.
14. ప్రయాగే మాధవేశ్వరీ!
ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్లోని అలహాబాద్లో ప్రయాగ
క్షేత్రం ఉంది. సతీదేవి ‘హస్త అంగుళీయం’ పడిన
ప్రాంతంగా చెబుతారు. యుమన, గంగా నదులు కలిసే
ప్రాంతం. శక్తిని మాధవేశ్వరి అంటారు.
పిండప్రదానానికి, అస్థికల నిమజ్జనానికి
ప్రాముఖ్యత గలదీ క్షేత్రం.
15. జ్వాలాయం వైష్ణవీ దేవి!
సతీదేవి ‘పుర్రె’ పడిన ప్రదేశం. జ్ఞాన క్షేత్రం.
జమ్మూ-కాశ్మీర్ రాష్ట్రంలో జమ్మూకు 50 కి.మీ
దూరంలో కాట్రా అనే ప్రదేశంలో ఉందీ ప్రాంతం.
అక్కడి నుండి గుర్రాల మీద లేదా హెలీకాప్టర్లో
కొండపైకి వెళ్లి జ్వాలాముఖి లేదా వైష్ణో దేవి
ఆలయాన్ని దర్శించుకోవచ్చు. ఈ ఆలయంలో గుహ
ఉంది. నాడు మొఘల్ చక్రవర్తి అక్బర్ పాదుషా
చేయించి, తన స్వహస్తాలతో మోస్తూ కొండపైకి
నడిచి వెళ్లి అమ్మవారికి సమర్పించిన వెండి
గొడుగు నేటికీ ఈ ఆలయంలో ఉంది.
16. గయాయామ్ మాంగళ్య గౌరీ!
బీహార్ రాష్ట్రంలో పాట్నాకు 75 కి.మీ. దూరంలో గయా
క్షేత్ర శక్తి స్వరూపిణి మంగళ గౌరి కొలువుదీరి
ఉంది. సతీదేవి ‘స్తనం’ పడిన ప్రదేశం. దగ్గరలో
బుద్ధగయ, బోధి వృక్షం, బౌద్ధ
ఆలయాలు ఉన్నాయి. గయలో పితృదేవతలకు పిండ
ప్రదానం చేయాలని ప్రతి హిందువూ కోరుకుంటాడు.
7. వారాణస్యాం విశాలాక్షీ!
సతీదేవి ‘మణికట్టు’ పడిన స్థలం కాశీ పుణ్య
క్షేత్రం. శివుని విశిష్ట స్థానంగా కాశి/వారణాశి
విరాజిల్లుతోంది. వరుణ, అసి అనే రెండు నదుల
సంగమం. గంగాస్నానం, విశ్వేశ్వరుడు, విశాలాక్షి
దర్శనం నయానందకరం. శుభకరం.
18. కాశ్మీరేతు సరస్వతియనా!
ఇక్కడ సతీదేవి ‘చేయి’ పడినదని కొందరు, కుడి
చెంప పడిన స్థలమని కొందరు చెబుతారు.
పురాణేతిహాసాల వల్ల అమ్మవారి ఆలయం కాశ్మీర్లో
ఉందని తెలుస్తోంది. కానీ ఆ
ఆలయం ధ్వంసం అవడంతో అక్కడ
పూజలు జరగడం లేదని శంకచార్యులు ఆ పీఠాన్ని
శృంగేరిలో (కర్ణాటక రాష్ట్రంలో) ప్రతిష్ఠించారని
తెలుస్తోంది. మంగుళూరుకు 100 కి.మీ దూరంలో
సరస్వతి ఆలయ రూపకల్పన చేసి, ఒక రాయిపై
చక్రయాత్ర స్థాపన చేసి, సరస్వతీదేవి
చందనపు విగ్రహాన్ని ప్రతిష్ఠ చేశారు.
శక్తి పీఠాల సందర్శన భాగ్యం..
అష్టాదశ శక్తి పీఠాల సందర్శన ఫలితంగా
మనశ్శాంతి, అపమృత్యు దోషాలు తొలగిపోతాయని
ఆర్యోక్తి. అటువంటి 18 పీఠాలను స్వయంగా
సందర్శించడం నా పూర్వజన్మ సుకృతం. ఒక్కో
రాష్ట్రానికి వెళ్లినప్పుడు ఒక్కోటి, ఒక్కోసారి రెండు-
మూడు శక్తి పీఠాలను దర్శించి వచ్చాను. దసరా
పండగ నాడు ఈ 18 క్షేత్రాలలో శక్తి పూజ కన్నుల
పండగగా జరుగుతుంది.

Latest Appointment of Governors

President Pranab Mukherjee
appointed Kalyan Singh, Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, Ch. Vidyasagar Rao and Mridula Sinha Governors of Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa, respectively, on Tuesday.
The President accepted the
resignation of K Sankaranarayanan, who quit as
Maharashtra Governor on Sunday after being abruptly transferred to Mizoram. Manipur Governor
